Faith in Myself

B. J. Morbitzer?, P. Krause / Late Monday (2015)

C G F C
Outside my window - A new day I see,
Am F G
And only I can determine - What kind of day it will be.

C G F C
It can be busy and sunny; Laughing, and gay,
Am F G
Or boring and cold, Unhappy and grey.
C G F G
(But) I have faith in myself - And believe what I say,
C G F - F G bass: G - A B
And I personally intend - To make the best - of each day.

C G F C
My own state of mind - Is the determining key,
Am F G
For I am only the person - I let myself be.

C G F C
I can be thoughtful - And do all I can to help,
Am F G
Or be selfish - - And think just of myself.
C G F G
(But) I have faith in myself - And believe what I say,
C G F - F G bass: G - A B
And I personally intend - To make the best - of each day.

C G F C
I can enjoy what I do - And make it all seem fun,
Am F G
Or gripe and complain - And make it hard on someone.

C G F C
I can be patient with those - Who may not understand,
Am F G
Or belittle and hurt them - As much as I can.
C G F G
(But) I have faith in myself - And believe what I say,
C G F - F G bass: G - A B
And I personally intend - To make the best - of each day.
